List of Artists
This is a list of all the artists featured in the FEPOW Art Enquiry, including the 8 well-known “recognised” artists: Chalker, Gimson, Meninsky, Mennie, Old, Rawlings, Searle and Thrale.
The remaining 69 artists are classified in the enquiry as “unrecognised” i.e. artists who largely remained hidden from public awareness throughout post-war years. A few are known of to researchers, some were prolific in their output e.g. Des Bettany, Will Wilder, Bill Norways and Leslie Audus; the majority were not.
Appeal
